Go Leafs Go
I think for someone who's a site administrator with a decent update frequency, I'm a very good fan of sports (Apologies to all those REAL Nerds out there).
In particular I'm a great fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. One of the reasons for that is, I basically live in Tontonto. This means that if they win the Stanley Cup, there's going to be one hell of a party in town. The second reason is that I like the team for what it is (and what it has been in the past). That's probable the reason why there's Leafs fans everywhere you go just like there's NY Yankees fans all over the place (I don't like the Yankees by the way). On the list (a metaphorical list) of things I want to do before I die is to see the Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley cup. If possible, I want them to win a home game against the Montreal Candiens for the Championship, but that's probably asking too much.
The Toronto Maple Leafs should be winning the cup soon. I'm not saying that based simply on their long draught but because they have finally decided to spend some money. I know it's sort of sad when money comes into play, but face it, the more money a team uses, the more chance they will have to win. The Leafs always had the money with their high priced, yet sold out tickets but they just didn't use it due to the fact that they wanted the cup to be a novelty (quite unlike the NY Yankees). If I was in charge of the Leafs organization, I would have spent a LOT of money for this season to basically gurantee a championship so that we could be the 'Millinium Champions' (or something like that). Then, perhaps I'd go for another 10 to 15 year draught. I wouldn't go for more than 15 years bacuase fans these days are less patient then those from over the last 30 years (of course, before THAT they were impatient becuse they were winning every two years or so). One important thing is to make the playoffs every year because once you're not in the playoffs (espcially in the case of NHL), you are considered a bad team. Well, that's my opnion on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Here's my top 10 favorite Leafs Players:
1. Mats Sundin, He hasn't been phonomenal but I just associate him with the Leafs.
2. Curtis Joseph, The puck seldomly hits the back of the net with Cujo on the job. (You're good too Healy!)
4. Tie Domi, The leading manufacturer of black eyes and he's racking up goals too.
5. Darcy Tucker, He's catching up to Domi in the fighting dept.
6. Eric Lindros, Sure he's not on the team YET. But WHEN he is...
7. Tomas Kaberle, The driving force in the Leafs defense.
8. Nik Antropov, Now he can speak english! : )
9. Brian Berard, Get well soon. The Leafs need your help!
10. Yanic Parreault, Leading the NHL in faceoffs won.
Go Leafs Go!!!
Excellent, there's a Leafs game on in 5 mins (Leafs @ NY Islanders). Must get this update done quickly.
The team that should be winning the Stanley Cup.

The 1967 Toronto Maple Leafs with their Stanley Cup. It's been 37 years, I'd say it's about time we won another one.
