This rare photo of Sir William
Stephenson, OC, MC, DFC, was taken on board the British Battleship, 'Prince
of Wales' at Placentia Bay, in Newfoundland, August 17th, 1941.
Here, Sir William can be seen ducking to his right as
he spots the cameraman about to take his picture. According to the late
Eric Curwain, this is the only known photograph of Sir William taken during
WWII.
