Notes From The Underground for chamber orchestra   Completed September 1998. duration:  approx. 18 minutes.     Click on the music at the right to download part of the score of movement III:  Depression in .ETF (Finale) format.     Notes from the Underground is a work in three movements for an orchestra of single woodwinds, 2 horns, percussion, and strings.  The title comes the novella by F. Dostoevsky.  Rather than being stictly programmatic, each movement deals with an aspect of the inner life of the novella's protagonist.  They are entitled, in order, Anxiety, Hypocrisy, and Depression.
