      1. Mimic native speakers. Practice pronouncing words.

      2. Watch TV and listen to the radio.

      3. Learn a number of key phrases used in casual conversations. Stick to simple and short phrases.

      4. Read! Read anything and everything (books, newspapers, sighns on the wall, anything!) Reading will help you build your vocabulary and help you become familiar with basic grammar.

      5. Sing! Learn the words to your favorite English song. Write them down. Sing them salong with your favorite singer.

      6. Get involved. Join clubs. Do volunteer wirk. Place yourself in a situation whereby you'll meet new people and form new friendships.

      7. See if your school offers, peer tutoring. Or if lyou can afford to, get a private English tutor. If you work one on one with someone, you can be in the position to ask about your specific needs and get personal immediate feedback.

      8. Have your friends check over your homework.

      * A variety of factors determines the type of speech used in the Korean language: age, relationship between speakers, sex, and social status. Things aren't quite that complex when speaking English. So relax and feel free to speak freely to everyone.

      * While the basic word order in Korean is: subject-object-verb, in English it is usually: subject -verb-object.
