THE
COVER LETTER
Employers might ask
for a cover letter. It usually accompanies a resume.
- It should also be on white paper and typed.
- Include your address and the date at the
top of the page.
- Include the name of the person you are writing
to and the company's mailing address.
- Single space the body of the letter.
- Don't forget your complimentary close (e.g.,
Yours truly,).
Keep your letter short.
Three paragraphs:
- State why you are writing.
- Highlight your qualifications and experiences
- State that you are looking forward to discussing
this position in person. Thank them for reading your letter.
Be positive. Be professional.
