GRANDMASTER
LECTURE & SIMULTANEOUS EXHIBITION:
Thursday,
May 17, 2001 @ DCC
with
GM Leonid Yudasin, 2568 FIDE

In preparation for the Toronto
Victoria Day Open at the Dutton Chess
Club on Bayview (a 6-round FIDE rated event May 19, 20 & 21),
International GrandMaster Leonid Yudasin, 2568 FIDE, formerly of
Israel and Russia will be giving a very special
presentation. Mark your calendars now for Thursday,
May 17th (a special opening for DCC). The Lecture
will run from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a Simultaneous
Exhibition to follow. This special event is priced
at only $20 per person with a "half-price"
discount for ANY member of DCC or
ANY paid registrant of the Toronto Victoria Day Open.
That's right only $10 for an entire evening with
one of the world's top grandmasters. Mr. Yudasin, who now
resides in New York has only played in Canada once - the 1996
Canadian Open in Calgary, where he finished in a 6-way tie with
Kevin Gentes, Lawrence Day, Den Hergott, Arniel Frialde and Jim
Ferguson, all just ahead of Tom O'Donnell.
The 1996 Canadian Open was won by GM Kevin Spraggett (who drew
with Leonid Yudasin in the eighth round). Ilia Smirin also
finished ahead of Leonid Yudasin.
Mr. Yudasin with a CFC rating of 2582 has confirmed his participation in the DCC Victoria Day Open. With 2 round per day (11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., this holiday weekend event is priced at only $50 Entry Fee ($60 includes a spot at the Lecture and Simultaneous). Call Mark S. Dutton today at (416) 467-9715 to book your space in this event.
