Yan Teplitsky, I.M. & Ian Findlay, F.M. shared first at the 2002 Toronto
"Class" Championships - March 8, 9 & 10, 2002.
A 5-Round Swiss in 5 Sections saw Findlay defeat Teplitsky in their
encounter but they both finished with 4 out of 5 in the 20-player "Masters"
Class Section.  Juniors Artem Gurevich and Igor Diviljan were a half-point
back with 3.5 out of 5 results.

The Experts Section was won by Justin (Ashish) Gulati of P.E.I. with a 4-1
result, while Warren Dutton, Bill Evans and Ross Richardson were all a half
point behind in this hard fought section.

The "A" Class was dominated by Chris Takov who scored 4.5, while Slava
Sviridovitch
and junior Morgon Mills were a half point back with 4-1 final
scores.

The "B" Class was won by Stephen Leacock student Hassan Hassan who scored a
4-1 final while class-mate Vineet Joag finished in a second place tie with
Kingston's Dilip Panjwani.

The "C" Class was shared by 2 juniors:  Nimalan Thavandiran of Scarborough
and Chris Tam from Upper Canada College, both finishing with 4-1 final
scores.  Juniors Geordie Derraugh and Brendan Fan shared the Under 1400
Class Prize with 3.5 Finals, while Mohit K. Sharma and Jugal Parikh shared
the Under 1200 category.
