CUMMINGS AND VUJIC WIN $900 DCC CHRISTMAS ACTIVE
DECEMBER 23 - 9TH Christmas Active

International Master David Cummings and Branimir Vujic shared first place in this 36-player one-day Active event and won $150 each. from the $900 Prize Fund. The Under 2200 Section prize was won by Scarborough Expert Richard Ruiz who took home $100. cash while Warren Dutton won $50. for 2nd in the Experts class. Nosrat Nozari won $100. first in the Under 2000 Class while Jose Gomes and Kiran Ramaswamy won $25 each.

The 14 Player Section II (Under 1600) was dominated by Slava Sviridovitch who scored 5.5 in the 6 round event to win $125, while Stephen Leacock junior Vineet Joag won clear second prize $75 with a 4.5-1.5 final.

The Under 1400 Class was won by Slava's daughter, 9 year old Alina Sviridovitch who finished with a 4-2 final score to win $70, while junior Tavish Armstrong and Lea Urbanc split the $30 second prize.
