one-day tournament that wraps up in about 8 hours total (less than 2 regular
length tournament games).  In fact, the Toronto Closed participants have
requested an official postponement of Round 9 of the "Closed", so they can
play in the Saturday Active event.

We now have advance entries from Ian Findlay, F.M., David Filipovich (Active
2170), Eddie Urquhart, Fima Rakhinshteyn, Warren Dutton and many others!
These advance entries inlude two kids, Kiran and Kishor Ramaswamy, brothers
from Montreal and the debut of another "brother-sister combo" Nikolay
Noritsyn, 10 (rated over 1800) and his younger sister Elisabeth Noritsyn, 8.
In addition, local juniors David Hier, Shiyam Thavandiran and Alina
