Jura Ochkoos scored an undefeated 5-1 to win $140. First Prize in the $500. Saturday ACTIVE tournament at the Dutton Chess Club on Bayview, on Saturday, September 25, 1999.  David Southam scored 4.5-1.5 to finish alone in 2nd place to win $80.

Nick Zimninski scored 4-2 to win the $100. first place prize in the Under 2000 Section, while Richard Ruiz grabbed clear second with a 3.5-2.5 result to win $40.

Tariq Hassan-Gordon captured the $100. first place money in the Under 1600 Section with a solid 3.5-2.5 result, and Christopher Field scored ".500" to win the $40 second prize.

Twenty-two players enjoyed the cosy new facilities at the Dutton Chess Club on Bayview, where activities continue FOUR days a week now!  The next ACTIVE tournament (#3 in the Series) will take place next month - on Saturday, October 23, 1999.  Check out the Dutton Chess website for complete details.
