Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)I entered the site, but when I select my family tree nothing happens. I entered the site, but when I select my family tree nothing happens. Here are some questions that may help you pinpoint what to do next. Did you read and understand all the instructions? If so, did you download GenoPro software? If so, did you install it? These steps are required to be able to access your Family Tree and the pictures I was able to post so far. Please share with me any progress you are able to make. Also let me know if I can be of any assistance. What information should I provide? To answer the question in general terms: any information that has a placeholder in the .gno (family tree) file. To clarify here is the checklist (refer to the Data Entry Form provided):
2. Can I access Family Trees from a Mac?The GenoPro software was not available in version for MacIntosh computers and we are searching for alternate solutions. On your request we will extract your Family Tree in GEDCOM format (genealogy data communication protocol) and E-mail it to you. You can then load the GEDCOM file into a Mac based genealogy program. This is a theory only at this stage so do not spend money on a program before we give it a try and see if it can work. I suggest looking for a freeware program much like GenoPro is. 3. How can I include pictures in my Family Tree? The most convenient way for all is to E-mail a digital picture(s) in .jpg format. Other acceptable format are .tiff .gif or .bmp. If you have some other format please check before sending the material. If you do not have digital pictures your local photo shop or computer store may have the facility to digitize your pictures for a small fee. You may a friend or a colleague who has a scanner that can digitize your pictures. Lastly and if all of the other methods failed, you can snail mail (using postal service) the pictures to me and I will digitize and include them in your Family Tree. Refer to the "Contact" page for the correct mailing addresses. 4. Can I do my family research even if my last name is not ZENAR?Yes you can! And it is very simple. Just collect all your immediate and extended family names, dates, and pictures. Organize the data you collected using:
