1. Welcome to Hellmouth (Part 1)
Buffy prepares to start a new life at Sunnydale High, in Southern California. She is soon shunned by Cordelia and her crowd, befriended by Xander and Willow, and meets the librarian Mr. Giles, her new Watcher.

2. The Harvest (Part 2)
Buffy learns a powerful vampire called The Master is trapped in a portal between worlds. The only way he can escape is for his vampires to drink enough blood to free him -- and those vampires are headed right for The Bronze!

3. Witch
Buffy wants to round out her life of fighting the forces of evil (and learn how to be as shallow as Cordelia) -- so she tries out for the cheerleading squad.

4. Teacher's Pet
Natalie French is a beautiful substitute biology teacher, and all the boys in class are transfixed by her -- including Xander. But Buffy, Giles and Willow discover that Natalie is really a She-Mantis and she's got Xander!

5. Never Kill A Boy On The First Date
Buffy meets a new student, Owen Thurman. Owen follows Buffy to one of her vampire battles and helps her kill the vampires; then he gets in the way, Buffy screws up, and he’s knocked unconscious. Faith never had a date go that bad.

6. The Pack
After a class field trip to the Zoo, Xander and a group of the students are possessed by Hyenas. Buffy, Willow and Giles discover that unless they can reverse the spell, the hyena spirit will take control of Xander's soul forever. Unfotunately, the hyena spirit doesn’t take control of Xander’s sould forever, and he becomes a loser again.

7. Angel
Angel comes to the aid of Buffy when she is attacked by vampires, and she discovers Angel is a vampire! But Buffy The Vampire Slayer decides to date him anyway.

8. I Robot... You Jane
While updating the school library system, Willow accidentally releases a demon into the internet. Geek.

9. The Puppet Show
As punishment for skipping class, Principal Snyder forces Buffy, Xander and Willow to participate in the class talent show. But a possessed ventriloquist's dummy makes the talent show anything but boring! Then, Buffy, Xander and Willow’s act makes the show VERY boring.

10. Nightmares
A hideous creature named the "Ugly Man" begins terrorizing students by making their nightmares come true.

11. Out of Mind, Out of Sight
Cordelia becomes the common denominator in a series of bizarre 'accidents'. Buffy discovers a girl named Marcie was so unpopular that she became invisible... and for some unknown reason, is now fixated on the May Queen competition... which Cordelia has just won.

12. Prophecy Girl
Buffy learns that an ancient book of prophecy foretells how she will face the Master -- and how it predicts she will die in the battle. Buffy goes after the Master -- who tells her that he is now able to break free because it is her blood that gives him the power to escape. Buffy is SO stupid. The only smart thing Buffy does in this episode is die.

13. When She Was Bad
Summer vacation is over, and it's back to school. Buffy, who has developed a major attitude, discovers that someone has dug up the Master's remains and is trying to revive him.

14. Some Assembly Required
Buffy and the others discover 2 members of the science club are trying to build a girl out of the parts of dead cheerleaders -- only they need a head -- and the one they want is Cordelia's! I guess they wanted a head that couldn’t think for itself.

15. School Hard
It's Parent-Teacher night and Buffy has a hard time keeping her Mother away from Principal Snyder -- while fighting a new menace, Spike, and his army of vampires that has appeared at the school!

16. Inca Mummy Girl
Buffy's class goes to the natural history museum where they view a tomb that contains an Inca princess who was buried alive 500 years ago. But the princess isn't really dead and comes to life by feeding off the life force of the living.

17. Reptile Boy
Buffy and Cordelia go to a frat party where they become guests of honour in a sacrifice to a half-man, half-snake creature that lives under the frat house. Unfortunately, they are not eaten.

18. Halloween
It's Halloween and half the trick-or-treaters have been turned into their costume by a mysterious evil! Willow is the skanky ghost of herself, Xander becomes a soldier, and Buffy is a timid 18th century Noblewoman with no memory of her former slayer self. Too bad B didn’t stay that way.

19. Lie To Me
Buffy runs into an old "friend" who says he knows she's the slayer. Buffy is lured into a trap by a group of wannabe vampires. Now her old friend wants to trade her to Spike in exchange for becoming a vampire.

20. The Dark Age
An old friend of Giles arrives in Sunnydale to look for him but he is killed before he can find him. Giles realizes that his old group of friends is in grave danger. Ms.Calendar is possessed by the demon who is after Giles, and the only way to defeat it is with a little help from Angel.

21. What's My Line (Part 1)
Spike calls in "The Order of Taraka" -- demon assassins -- to take care of Buffy. Buffy finds herself having to deal with assassins, a missing Angel, and a new girl who claims to be a Vampire Slayer.

22. What's My Line (Part 2)
Buffy and Giles discover Kendra really is another Slayer. Kendra and Buffy discover Spike needs to kill Dru's 'sire' (Angel) in a ritual in order to use the 'sire's' power to heal her -- turning Dru into a Vampire almost as dangerous and powerful as the Master.

23. Ted
Buffy, Xander and Willow meet Buffy's Mom's new boyfriend, Ted. Only Buffy seems to think there is something terribly odd about Ted. When Ted comes after her, Buffy knocks him down the stairs killing him. Huh. Looks like Buffy was a little too high-and-mighty when Faith accidentally killed the Assistant Mayor. She ain’t the only killer slayer!

24. Bad Eggs
Buffy and the gang have been given a raw egg to look after as part of a Parenting assignment -- but the egg's contain slimy little hatchlings that are taking control of other students, teachers, and even Buffy's mom!

25. Surprise (Part 1)
The gang is planning a surprise party for Buffy's 17th birthday. Meanwhile, Dru is planning a party of her own by assembling a monster called the Judge who can destroy the human race.

26. Innocence (Part 2)
Angel isn't Angel any more. His love for Buffy sent him back to his original evil self, Angelus. Angelus returns to Dru and Spike and tells them he's changed. He now plans to help them destroy humanity with the Judge.

27. Phases
While out on one of their secret dates, Cordelia and Xander are attacked by a Werewolf. Giles is quite excited at this for he's never had to deal with a Werewolf before. But this werewolf isn't just another monster, it's Willow's new boyfriend!

28. Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered
After being dumped by Cordy on Valentines Day (low blow), Xander decides he's pretty much had enough of being ignored and dumped on by the female population, and goes after Amy to cast a love spell on Cordelia. But the plan backfires in a big way.

29. Passion
Once a vampire has been invited in, he is always allowed in, so Buffy and the gang try to come up with a 'keep out' spell to prevent Angelus from getting into their homes. Just as Jenny figures out how to give Angelus back his soul, he kills her.

30. Killed By Death
A nasty fever puts Buffy in the hospital, where sick children are mysteriously dying during the night. Too bad she didn't die during the night.

31. I Only Have Eyes For You
Angel and Buffy are possessed by the dead spirit of a student and teacher who died in Sunnydale many years ago, and relive their final moments.

32. Go Fish
The school's swim team is heading to the championships and everyone is celebrating -- until 2 members disappear and are found dead and Xander comes up against a giant, fish like creature in the cafeteria.

33. Becoming (Part 1)
Dru, Spike and Angelus try to open the gates between Earth and Hell by releasing the demon Acathla. Angel sets a trap for Buffy by calling her out, and then sending the other vampires after her friends.

34. Becoming (Part 2)
Angelus manages to complete the ritual and start the vortex opening. Willow performs the curse and restores Angel's soul, but Buffy notices the vortex opening behind Angel and has to send him to Hell to close it. Bitch. She could have just cut his hand and used that blood to seal Acathla.

35. Anne
Buffy, living on her own in a big city, assists a woman whose boyfriend mysteriously vanished. Back in Sunnydale, Buffy's friends do their best to battle the forces of evil.

36. Dead Man's Party
A Nigerian mask reanimates the dead, forcing Buffy to battle a horde of zombies.

37. Faith, Hope and Trick
A charismatic slayer visits Sunnydale and wins over many of Buffy's friends. Simultaneously, two powerful vampires plot an attack.

38. Beauty and The Beasts
Willow worries that Oz, in wolf-mode may have killed a student. Buffy is convinced there is another explanation -- Angel -- who has returned from his years of torment in the deamon realm.

39. Homecoming
As Buffy and Cordelia vie for the Homecoming Queen title, they are targeted by a group of killers participating in 'SlayerFest 98'.

40. Band Candy
Mr. Trick uses candy bars to turn the entire town's population of adults into irresponsible teenagers.

41. Revelations
Tempers flair when the gang learns about Angel's return and how Buffy has kept it secret. Faith's new watcher arrives, only she isn't exactly what she appears to be.

42. Lovers Walk
Spike returns to Sunnydale and kidnaps Willow in hopes of creating a magic spell that will make Drucilla love him once more.

43. The Wish
Cordelia's wish for a Buffy-free Sunnydale comes true, plunging her into a world where The Master is in control of the town.

44. Amends
As the Christmas holiday approaches, Angel is tormented by evil apparitions.

45. Gingerbread
After discovering the corpses of two young childres bearing a symbol linked to the occult, Joyce spearheads a campaign to rid Sunnydale of witches.

46. Helpless
Buffy's will to survive is put to the test when she goes up against a powerful vampire on her 18th birthday.

47. The Zeppo
While Buffy is chasing down an all-female apocalyptic cult, Xander's new friends are havin' fun raising the dead.

48. Bad Girls
Giles' stuffy replacement arrives in Sunnydale to take over the watcher duties. Meanwhile, Faith tries to get Buffy to admit she has fun slaying while they go after an ancient amulet.

49. Consequences
While Buffy and Faith try to deal with what they have done, the police question the slayers, and the new Watcher tries to have Faith removed from Sunnydale for a watcher-trial.

50. Dopplegangland
Buffy, Xander, Angel and Giles try to save Willow from her doppleganger, an evil double from an alternate dimension, who is stuck in this Sunnydale reality.

51. Enemies
Faith uses a shaman's powers to take away Angel's soul.

52. Earshot
After being touched by a deamon she was trying to kill, Buffy develops a deamon characteristic -- the ability to hear people's thoughts.

53. Choices
The Mayor takes Willow prisoner after Buffy and her friends steal away a box containing demonic energy needed for Ascension Day.

54. The Prom
After Angel breaks of their relationship, Buffy single-handedly battles three fearsome hell hounds so that her classmates can enjoy their senior prom.

55. Graduation Day Part 1
In an effort to distract Buffy from Ascension, the mayor instructs Faith to poison Angel.

56. Graduation Day Part 2
Buffy is desperate to find a cure for Angel, while the others try to find some way to stop the Mayor and the Ascension on the day of their Graduation ceremony.

57. The Freshman
As Buffy adjusts to college life, she realizes that classmates are mysteriously disappearing.

58. Living Conditions
Buffy finds herself at odds with her new roommate, and is troubled by a series of disturbing dreams involving a soul-sucking deamon.

59. The Harsh Light of Day
Spike returns to Sunnydale searching for a ring that, according to legend, will make the wearer invincible. (Storyline continues on Angel.)

60. Fear, Itself
On Halloween, Buffy and her friends find themselves trapped inside a haunted frat house -- complete with real live bats, zombies, and a terrifying deamon from beyond.

61. Beer Bad
Xander finds employment as a bartender at a pub where some of Buffy's friends metamorphose into terrifying Cro-Magnon creatures.

62. Wild at Heart
Oz finds himself unable to control his attraction to a new singer... who just so happens to be a werewolf!

63. The Initiative
Spike finds himself targeted by a group of commandos after he escapes from a futuristic lab located beneath the streets of Sunnydale.

64. Pangs
On Thanksgiving, Buffy encounters the spirit of a Native American warrior whose people were wiped out by settlers. (Angel crossover.)

65. Something Blue
One of Willow’s spells causes her every wish to come true... causing Giles to go blind; Buffy and Spike to plan a wedding; and Xander to become a magnet for demons.

66. Hush
A group of murderous creatures straight out of a fairy tale steal away the townspeople's voices.

67. Doomed
Buffy attempts to stop demons determined to bring about the apocalypse by reopening the Hellmouth.

68. A New Man
After being transformed into a demon, Giles attempts to track down Ethan Rayne in hopes of reversing the process.

69. The I In Team
Buffy teams with Riley after she is allowed access to the mysterious underground complex known as the Initiative. Spike is targeted by commandoes.

70. Goodbye Iowa
Tension erupts between Buffy and an ailing Riley as they pursue Maggie Walsh's killer.

71. This Years Girl
Faith awakens from a coma and rightfully seeks revenge against Buffy. Riley joins Buffy in the hunt for Adam.

72. Who Are You
Buffy, having switched bodies with Faith, finds herself at the mercy of Watcher council members. Meanwhile, Faith uses Buffy's body to further her own ends.

73. Superstar
Buffy and her friends sense that something's amiss when Jonathan becomes a hero to everyone in Sunnydale.
