Buffy: Year One -- 5 by 5

From Buffy's calling to be the Slayer (as seen in "Becoming") until she moved to Sunnydale (as seen in "Welcome to the Hellmouth")

	Buffy Summers - She learns at fifteen that she is the Chosen One, instilled with the strength and skill to fight the vampires and put an end to their evil, but all she wants to do to shop for clothes, hang out with her friends and maybe pass a few exams
	John Merrick - He is Buffy's Watcher but his plans for her quickly start to go wrong when his old enemy Lothos returns to L.A. Haunted by the ghosts from his past, he is far less in control than he pretends to be.
Marta Rozanski - Born in Poland to a family of witches, she lived in England for most of her life and moved to L.A. five years ago. She finds out about vampires and the Slayer by accident, but Merrick soon ropes her in. He knows he cannot fight Lothos without help, but Marta has problems of her own as well as a destiny to fulfil.

Lothos - For three years, the Watcher's Council had assumed that Lothos was dead, killed by the previous Slayer, but now Lothos has reappeared in L.A with his followers. He wants the Slayer and it doesn't look as if anything or anyone can stop him.
