Each season the Theatre Company is happy to offer a lucky playwright the development of one of their works-in-progress for a future workshop with the Weesageechak Festival as part of the Company's mandate to foster new creation development and be the milieu for playwrights to gain first-hand theatre operation and production.

Darrell Dennis has extensive film and stage acting experience for such titles as Northwood, Leaving Normal, Planet Zoo, Brothers Of The Frontier and The Rez. Guest spots on F/X: The Series, Comics and Keeping The Promise. Training at Gastown Actors Studio. Stage roles have included Shapeshifter, Only Drunks And Children Tell The Truth, a Town Twice Remembered and Toronto At Dreamers Rock. Darrells first play, Trickster at Third Avenue East was work-shopped at Weesageechak Begins to Dance XI and then produced as part of the Mainstage Season.
