Subject: M1 PCM cards

Yesterday i got three M1 PCM card sets: percussion, environments, and sound effects. I've also had one of the M1 synth cards (synth 2 i think) for a while. All the waves on all the cards work fine in my Wavestation (though I seem to recall audible clicking on one or two of the waves).

These cards are nice, but they aren't going to blow anyone away. I haven't found the synth card much use at all, but the new ones have a lot of possibilities -- especially weird percussion noises and looped sound effects pitched down way low. They're worth the $20-$30 you can get them for if you look hard enough; I'd say not much more.

I'd be willing to believe the genuine Wavestation cards would be more satisfying, perhaps being more geared to WS uses (I'd love to find the synth/timeslices card).

The M1 PCM card sets also come with ROM cards of patches, which are utterly useless to us. I wouldnt mind finding a source for WS RAM cards.. anyone know of a place that still has a few sitting around at rockbottom prices?
