Viewing Northern Sounds
This site was optimized for Netscape Navigator 3 and up, and tested on Internet Explorer 3, using screen settings of 800x600 and 640x480, and 16-bit high colour (thousands of colours).
This site contains audio files in WAV, RealAudio, and MP3 formats. The compression schemes used by RealAudio and MP3 formats permit much longer sound bites. The MP3's are in particular highly recommended, MPEG layer 3 compression is probably the best audio compression format around. These MP3's sound the best of any of the formats. You'll need to download the proper software to play these formats; free or shareware versions are available (note: these are external links):
- Download RealPlayer 5.0 from the official RealAudio site
WinAMP - an excellent shareware MP3 player for Win95
MacAMP - the Mac version
