Number 3 was built with two 20" wheels and intermediate drive. The frame was also built with rivetted square 1 1/2" aluminium and 7/8" round tubing for the stays. The seat was made from a plastic beach chair which was padded with camping foam. Although the beach chair front edge was trimmed back, it made it difficult to get my leg down. The 20" rear wheel did help with acceleration.

Like CR#2, the BB shell also was made from a piece of pipe and the headset was pressed into a series of aluminium plates. The shifters were bar-end shifters in the ends of the handlebars from a three speed.

After building three bikes using pop rivets, I started to think about brazing frames since the method was limiting and the frames would loosen up over time. So I decided to take a night school course for welding.
