The Further Antics of the Astronaut Ant

There was a strange wee fellow came visiting us today
He said I've come to visit you from Oh! so far away

He very surely seemed to be, a bundle of activity
And in the very shortest time, he blew our minds away

He said, "I know, you're Peter's folks
Who have a happy girl named Haley"

He seemed to know this little fact
He tossed it off quite gaily

We thought we should be neighborly
Ask him to take a seat

Surely he must be tired
In all his many wandering feet

He joked he did not really care
He could just settle anywhere

As true as any word he said
He climbed into my favorite bed

Now at this time we must have dozed
We never saw our friend again

For while our tired eyes were closed
He must have set out in the rain

Where he went we could not say
We wish him luck along the way

So if he comes to visit you
Do not press him -- under your shoe
