The Better Way

Keep searching for the better way
the way to get things done
It may require a little work
may not be much fun
But yet, upon the other hand,
you could come up with something grand
To make you happy make you say
I really had some fun today
Just look at what I've done

There are those days when I take stock
while staring at the ticking clock
While simply sitting in my chair
my mind not going anywhere
Then at the very end of day
I jump right off and fade away
Not having done one single thing
except some first class lingering
It's then I sense I've lost my pride
and lose myself quite deep inside

So now I've tasted the whole lot
have taken time to rest
I'm giving working my best shot,
found that working is the best
So from now on I'll surely find
that working is the one true way
To ease the pressures in my mind
and make for me a better day
