Of all the girls I've lately met the nicest one by far
Just seemed to be the pretty dish who served me at the bar
Her auburn hair and flashing eyes
her cultured curves and shapely thighs
Quite simply seemed just made to measure
a precious thing a national treasure
Needless to say I was impressed
and as my evenings stay progressed
I paid more visits to her space the better there to see her face
also of course for more libation, between short spells of rest
Finally there was no use, that's when I went and cooked my goose
I calmly asked her for a date, that is when I sealed my fate
This action really was too dumb, of course the drinks had made me numb
The maiden smiled and softly said
something about my dropping dead
A suggestion which could cause demise
and did not seem to me too wise
So even from this sweet young lass
I thought it better just to pass
I took me then a fast retreat
not wasting time in looking back
An almost nearly pleasaant dream
became a broken heart attack
How could this almost perfect girl
ever stoop to be unkind
This type of thing could blow one's mindThe moral of my story is, enjoy the scenery mind your biz
Things may look perfect to your eyes but be a hazard in disguise
Look upon beauty with ultimate pleasure
think of nice things as delicate treasure
Keep pretty things very much on a shelf
keep your remarks pretty well to yourselfFrank Paylor
