As I awoke a soft cool breeze filtered across my cheeks in play
To mark for me quite happily the starting of a brand new day
Then as my eyes began to peek, to take a look around
Life seemed so very pleasant with what my eyes had found
For in the early morning mist a very lovely sight to see
Appeared a sweet angelic form a fragile lovely mystery
Eventually when our eyes met such ecstacy not to forget
Especially when she smiled at me
She very really seemed to be the
answer to my dreams
But how could such a one as I ever fit into her schemes
She would surely be my first selection , such perfection all
Still I feel so truly blest to think that she paid me a call
To share the quiet moments of an early morning visit
Just had to be my very greatest thrill of all
Enough to say that lovely morning left me feeling very fine
Which left the very warmest feeling in this lonely heart of mine
Life goes on and memories linger
pleasant thoughts now cheer my days
Still my mind will at times wander looking back along lifes ways
Returning to that lovely morning when such joy was almost mine
Now like precious sweet young beauty clinging tightly to the vine
Having strayed in young loves bower now I feel not loss or pain
Yet I wish that lovely maiden would now visit me again
