Frank's Poem of the Month:
Day By Day
(Kimberly, this one is for you)
I waken daily in a fog
after sleeping like a log
Wondering how each day will go
I have no clue, I do not know
Then like a bolt out of the blue
I realize what I will do -- I'll walk the dog
Big deal you say right from your heart
Of course this is a simple start
to get my vital juices flowing
At this time my mind awakens
my thought department opens wide
So many plans are deep inside
I know then my resolve is growing
and I am truly up and going
My dog is trotting by my side
He loves his freedom and his fun
he truly likes to take a run
He seems to fully understand
the joys of being free
Between us is a single thought
how great this world can be
You could be quite right if you think
that there is nothing being done
The fact remains the dog and I
are having all this precious fun
They say that one should exercise
so you most surely will agree
This bold adventure we are on
smacks of hard work and liberty
