Life's Wonders

So wonderful it seems to me to hear the rustling
of a tree
To see a small cloud drifting by quite gracefully
across the sky
To hear the singing of a bird so anxious that his
song be heard
Moments like these are surely planned by someone
with a loving hand

Outside my window is a grove of slender trees
in summer dress
Waving gently in the breeze as though to show
their happiness
While one can see among the branches signs
of great activity
The singing of the busy birds holds me
spellbound with harmony

There comes of course the wintertime when nature
brings a cloak of white
When all the leaves have left the trees
and all the birds have taken flight
And then of course as someone planned
we find ourseles a wonderland
We thank our maker for his schemes
and just enjoy all natures dreams
