God grants so many special blessings
to each of us, to one and all
The precious gifts of life and living
for all His children till recall
from when we leave our mother's womb
and draw our first sweet earthly breath
Until we reach our journey's end
to find sweet rest within the tomb
For having tasted all life's pleasures
as in the world we chanced to roam
The Heavenly Father claims his treasures
and brings us to our final home
Of course we all are quite aware
quite prepared to do our share
To carry out God's will on earth
to help our neighbours in distress
and lead them back to happiness
There is so much that we can do
for those who may be deep in stress
Then God will smile because He'll know
someone is helping him below
