MEANDERING

Drifting along life's lonely highway
oft in sorrow or in pain
Sprinkled with many happy moments
sweet memories that will remain
Life it has so many mysteries
when we set ourselves to roam
Such a feeling of great joy
is our's upon returning home

We remember all the good folks
whom we met along the way
Pleasant smiles and friendly words
which helped to cheer us on each day
Grateful that the folks we met
were really, truly very kind
So sad to leave them in our past
such treasures to be left behind

Now a gentle word on parting
something we would like to say
May good fortune be beside you
brightening your every day
Knowing you has been a pleasure
for you have such precious ways
Giving us much love to treasure
brighten all our future days
