I'm
here today to turn the page on what there is before me
To turn to where I go from here is my new task you see
For yesterday has passed me by and time is rushing on
I'll take a stand and use my head and do what must be done
Oh yes I have decided there is more to life than fishing
And nothing is accomplished if I just sit down a wishing
First problem is just where to
start there must be a beginning
There has to be a real game plan so there's a chance of winning
My life has always been like that no rabbits peeking from my hat
So now I am ablaze with action could anyone imagine that
A thought has just occurred to me how very tiring this can be
Perhaps it would be for the best if I take out some time for rest
Guess I really have to say I'll
set myself another day
on which to plan my future.
It is no easy task you see planning one's life so flippantly.
There has to be a better way.
Suppose I make a big mistake upon the course I plan to take
There are no given rules you see for what is good for you, or me
Nicer thoughts my mind could make were I to plan things for our sake
