WINAMP

Player is called "Winamp"...

 

Double click on Winamp icon... Located on the Desktop

 

The Winamp Player will then appear....

 

THE WINAMP PLAYER

 

There are three parts to the Player...

 

§         The "PLAYLIST"

§         The "EQUALIZER"

§         The "PLAYLER"

 

§         The “Volume Bar” is located on the Player near the top

§         The “Panning Bar” is located to the right of the volume bar (the panning bar is used to speed up or slow down the song

§         The “Seeking Bar” is the largest and longest bar located across the middle of the player (the seeking bar is used to move from one part of the song to another part of the song)

 

To add or remove a component such as the PLAYLIST or EQUALIZER.

 

§         Press either of their associated buttons located to the right of the Panning Bar.  Each marked with “EQ” and “PL”

 

 

PLAYING MUSIC

 

To remove all of the existing tracks from the "PLAYLIST", do the following:

 

1.       Move mouse cursor onto "SEL ALL" button located on bottom middle of player between "File" and "Misc Opts"...

 

2.       Double click "SEL ALL"...

 

3.       All tracks in the "PLAYLIST" will become "highlighted"

 

4.       Press the "Delete" key on the keyboard to remove all the highlighted tracks from the "PLAYLIST"

 

 

 

To delete some songs from the "PLAYLIST" do the following:

 

1.       With the "Ctrl" key pressed, click on the songs you want to remove from the "PLAYLIST".

 

2.       When you have chosen/highlighted the songs you want to remove, press the "Delete" key.

 

3.       Only the songs you did not highlight should remain listed in the "PLAYLIST"

 


To choose a song to play in Winamp:

 

1.       Move cursor to “+FILE” (located to far left beside –FILE, SEL ALL, MISC OPTS)

 

2.       Double click on “+FILE”

 

3.       A “Windows” box will appear, titled “Add File(s) to Playlist”…

 

4.       Move cursor to “Look In:” pull down menu

 

5.       Click on the down arrow… The pull down menu will drop/open…

 

6.       Move the cursor to the file location of the songs you want to hear.

 

Example:

§         Select (D:) in the menu…

§         File folders will appear in the window…

§         Double click on the folder (i.e.: Mp3… double click… Rock... double click) containing the tracks you want to hear…

 

To choose a song located within the chosen file folder…

 

1.       Using the sliding scroll bar (located at the bottom or side of the window) pan across (or down) until you see the track you want to listen to.

 

2.       Select the track by double clicking on it…

 

3.       It will then appear in the “PLAYLIST” area of the Winamp Player…

 

4.       Press “PLAY” on the Player.

 

5.       You may keep adding tracks to the “PLAYLIST” by repeating the procedure.

 

To select several tracks to play:

 

* Repeat the above procedure until you have opened the track listings in the window

 

1.       Again, using the sliding scroll bar (located at the bottom or side of the window) pan across (or down) until you see the tracks you want to listen to.

 

2.       Highlight the track by placing the cursor on it title and clicking once.

 

3.       Scroll across until you see the next song of choice…

 

4.       Hold the “Ctrl” key down and at the same time click once on the second selection….

 

5.       Continue to hold the Ctrl key down as you scroll across seeking more selections…

 

6.       As you click once on each song, the titles should remain highlighted…

 

7.       Continue to hold the Ctrl key down and scroll across until you have finished making your selections…

 

8.       Press the “Open”…

 

9.       The songs you had highlighted should now appear in the "PLAYLIST

 

10.   Press PLAY on the Winamp Player
