Portraits - Andrew Danson

In 1997 during the festival of Purim I photographed at the Chabad Lubavitch Shul in Toronto. (Purim is a festival of masks celebrating Jewish survival from annihilation during the period after the destruction of the First Temple.) As I moved freely during prayer I could feel my interior excavations regarding my own roots as a Jew. I was strongly moved by this connection, though vague, to the people around me.
