Portraits - Andrew Danson

The Toronto Portraits series began in 1976 when I began formally photographing people I met in the street, in restaurants, at concerts and in working situations. In those days one could meet people like that and ask to return to their living environments and most said yes.

Of course I never knew about the 'living museums' I was about to enter. Twenty years later I found some of these same people and went back to revisit and re-photograph. The revisits are not currently included here at this time.
