PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

THREE POSITION MODE SWITCH

  • Calibrate Mode: A calibration level equivalent to 0.1 ppm replaces the sensor. In the test mode the Red LED Indicator should be ‘ON’ and the alarm circuit should be activated. This test is independent of actual Ozone concentrations.
  • Standby Mode: Normal circuit operation, except the output relay is bypassed to temporarily turn off the external alarm circuit.
  • Operate Mode: Normal circuit operation.
  • CONTROL RELAY

    Relay contacts are rated at 240 VAC, 5 A or 30 VDC, 5 A

    ENCLOSURE

    High impact molded ABS

    POWER REQUIREMENTS

8 to 18 VAC at 500 mA supplied through a 120 VAC 60 Hz plug-in transformer (North American Units Only)

    DIMENSIONS

    OS100 - 4.0"x1.25"x5.3" (WxHxD)

    INTRODUCTION

PUREZONE Ozone Sensor Model OS100 is designed to activate an alarm circuit and/or shut down an Ozone Generator if the OSHA safety level of 0.1 ppm is exceeded. Use of an Ozone Sensor is highly recommended in commercial or custom designed applications where use of concentrated Ozone is applied.

OSHA’s 8 hour exposure limit for Ozone is 0.1 ppm. OSHA’s short term (15 minute) exposure limit is 0.3 ppm. Anything over 0.3 ppm exposure can damage human tissues.

    STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY

  • Two LED Indicators warn of climbing Ozone levels at 50 ppb (0.05 ppm) and 100 ppb (0.1 ppm)
  • A Red LED Indicator lights up when the output relay is activated at 100 ppb (0.1 ppm)
  • A self test button will confirm calibration and check the complete alarm circuit operation
  • A "fail-safe" circuit design will activate the alarm circuit upon most internal electronic failures or power failure
  • A Green LED Indicator shows proper circuit operation and Ozone concentrations in the safe range
  • CALIBRATION

The alarm trip point is factory calibrated to 0.1 ppm (0.2 mg/m3) Ozone, with an accuracy of ± 0.03 ppm.

    EFFECTS OF COMMON GASSES

The OS100 Ozone Sensor is largely insensitive to hydrogen, hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, ethanol, ammonia and sulfur dioxide, with only a slight sensitivity to other oxidizing gases such as chlorine and nitrogen dioxide.

EFFECTS OF RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE

The OS100 is largely insensitive to variations in relative humidity throughout the operating range of 0 to 85%.

The alarm trip point is insensitive to variations in temperature through out the operating range of 32°to 104°F (0°to 40°C).
