Mary, the Mother of God!Daily Consecration Prayer: O Virgin Mary, Mother of God, as our Lady of Lourdes, you revealed your Immaculate Conception to the humble St. Bernadette. You have effected countless cures as well as granted innumerable graces and favors to those who sought your intercession. I consecrate myself to you this day.

With every confidence, I beseech you to gain for me and all who pray to you the blessings and graces we need through your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

If you've not yet had a chance to go to Lourdes, I invite you to take a 'virtual' visit through these webcams.

Angels & Saints: Do you share a name with a saint? If yes, please feel welcome to read about your favorite saint today. In the event that you do not share a name with a saint, I invite you to read about them. Who knows, you may find one that you like and may even want to share their name.

Fight against evil under the banner of your Heavenly Mother - she is always there for you. When the devil tempts you, raise an open hand and say, "Stop right there!" Then sincerely offer this little prayer, "Jesus my Brother, Mary my Mother and Joseph my Protector, I love You." Say it as many times as you wish.

When you are finished, kiss the Crucifix, your rosary or a medal and do something you enjoy. Help someone. Make or build something. Read a good book. Write a letter to someone. Write a poem or a short story. Never let the devil find you doing nothing. He will find work for idle hands.

There is nothing as attractive as a pure soul - the light of God shines from it. There is nothing as shameful as one that has lost this godlike radiance by being in the mire of sin. Memorize and follow these five counsels of St. Philip Neri to preserve the virtue of Purity:
  • Flee from bad company
  • Don't pamper your body
  • Never be idle
  • Pray
  • Go frequently to Confession and Holy Communion
