Why We Wear Poppies was written together with my eight-year-old daughter Nicole when she was a Grade 3 student at Monsignor Lee School. It was written in November 2005 for the 60th anniversary of Remembrance Day and published in the Orillia Packet & Times on Saturday, Sep30, 2006.

He Was There is a true-life experience. It was first published in the January 2005 issue of the Canadian Messenger of the Sacred Heart. In April 2008, it was included in Memorable Moments, a publication of the Lifescapes writing program presented by The Orillia Public Library.
The first pubic reading by the author was done on August 15, 2008 at the Lake Country Literary Lapses Festival hosted by the Mariposa Writer's Group at Swanmore Hall, Leacock Museum, Orillia.
