Spring Is In The Air ...

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting and autumn a mosaic of them all. Stanley Horowitz

Spring Is In The Air was written to welcome the Spring of 2006 in Orillia, Ontario.

Spring is in the air,
And we know how to care,
For everything my dear,
So you don't have to fear.

Winter came and went,
Like heat, right through the vent,
This house we had to rent,
Or sleep out in a tent.

With lots of snow outside,
We were warm inside,
And all agreed to hide,
Until you start to chide.

Before that was fall,
When you were not so tall,
And Harry came to call,
But you were down the hall.

Then you kissed that fellow,
And all the leaves turned yellow,
But you were just so mellow,
When he began to wallow.

But summer is the best,
Much better than the rest,
We have lots of fun,
And like it in the sun.

Then the sun gets hot,
And like a tired tot,
You head for the cot,
When we still want to trot.

But spring is in the air,
So get some boots to wear,
We can't wait to hear,
What we'll do this year.
