Jesus, Mary, Joseph ... I love you!

Did you pray today?
I will never forget you!

I asked God for all things, that I might enjoy life;
I was given life, that I might enjoy all things.

I asked for strength, that I might achieve;
I was made weak, that I might learn to obey.

I asked for health, that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things.

I asked for riches, that I might be happy;
I was given poverty, that I might be wise.

I asked for power, that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness, that I might feel the need of God.

I asked God for strength!

I got nothing that I asked for but everything that I had hoped for,
Almost despite myself, my unspoken prayers were answered.
I am among all men most richly blessed.

Prayer to Learn one's vocation ...

Lord, You have from eternity assigned the task of everyone; make known to me Your Will.

Through the possibilities and demands of the times, the needs of the people and of the Church, the advice of good people and the abilities which You have given me; make known to me Your Will.

Lord, I ask You, pour Your light into my soul so that I may know the Way along which You will lead me; that I may serve You as You Will; in the family if You wish; in work of the Spirit if You Will. Lord, what will You have me do?

Take me by the hand, lead me; be my Way and Light. Lord, You know all things. You see all things in the future. Lead me along the right Way. Make known to me Your Will. And, give me then the strength and courage to follow You. Amen.

Prayer for our children ...

You are all children of light and children of the day; we are not of the night or of darkness. 1 Thessalonians 5:5

Thank you Lord for the children you entrust to us; help us to lead them by our example. Help them to realize that a good education is the key to a bright and prosperous future. Lord, help them to work hard and then bless their efforts with success.

Help them to respect themselves and others, especially when they make choices about friendships and relationships. Let them be honest and caring when dealing with others so that their legacy will be etched in the hearts of people everywhere.

Bless them Lord and help them to distinguish between right and wrong; good and evil. Be with them when they are old enough to go out on their own; help them to make good decisions about things like alcohol, drugs and sex.

Guide them as they unfold into the men and women you want them to be. Help them to love you and serve you as they journey through this life.

Help us to trust and support their decisions as they prepare to leave our homes and take their places in the world. Jesus, Mary, Joseph ... we love You! [More]

What is a blessing? Something you receive from the Hand of God without praying for it. Sometimes, it is something you did not even know you wanted.

Prayer for our friends ...

Jesus is not afraid to call them brothers and sisters. Hebrews 2: 11

Thank you Lord for the friends You gave to us, bless them and keep them safe.

  • When there is pain, give them mercy
  • When there is self doubt, give them confidence
  • When there is tiredness, give them strength
  • When there is spiritual stagnation, give them grace
  • When there is fear, give them courage
  • When there is a sin in their lives, reveal it and free them

Give them vision, and raise up leaders to support and encourage them. Help them to recognize the evil forces around them and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it. We ask this in Your name. Amen.

Pray for the sick ...

Did you know that everyone has healing energy? Vigorously rub your hands together, separate them by about two inches and feel the healing energy. Now, use your healing energy and pray, in your own words, for the sick. Ask Jesus to bless and heal them for He said ...

"And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name they will cast out demons; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover." Mark 16: 17-18
