by providing quality Christian resources for churches, ministers, missions groups and committees, and individuals.
The name of the bookstore (R.E.A.D.) stands for

·  Donarius Software by NUVERB is a church donation software that allows a church to track church givings according to names or envelope numbers. It produces excellent reports and useful information for the Church Treasurer and those in charge of the issuance of income tax receipts. Visit the NUVERB website by clicking on the "piggy."

·  Why Are Church Sound Systems So Confusing? is one of the best resources for properly setting up the sound system in your church. Numerous churches in the US and Canada can attest to that fact. Please check out the website for further recommendations and information regarding the manual. READ On Bookstore is the sole distributor for this book. ·  And The Pink Snow Fell is a book by Rev. Ray Cross of Canada who, through his experience of great difficulties with the insurance system after his home was destroyed in a gas explosion shares with great compassion and yet good detail what one could do in such a pickle. He certainly provides what the Apostle Paul calls practical consolation for those who are in similar tribulation. Please check out the website for more information. ·  Fire Insurance and You is another book by Rev. Ray Cross, this time on the practical issues of fire insurance and the ins and outs that a wise believer in Jesus Christ should attend to. ·  What Canadian Baptists Believe. READ On is also the sole distributor to several books for that describe the Baptist Convention's distinctives, purposes and mission through the years. It's an excellent study for newcomers to the church, or anyone interested in a brief primer of Canadian Convention Baptists. Cost is C$6.00.

·  The New Life is six studies in one book on the new life in Jesus Christ from a Baptist perspective. Great starter book for new Christians and those wanting to get a handle of Baptist thought in this area. Price is C$6.00

As a demonstration of this commitment, R.E.A.D. On will give you a discount worth 20% of your Book Allowance purchases each quarter.

Why a Book Allowance plan?

To serve effectively, ministers need to grow spiritually. In part, such growth comes from keeping abreast with the wealth of Christian reference material and literature that is being published. Unfortunately, the cost of books is not getting any lower, and most ministers on a book allowance budget find it increasingly harder to maintain a personal library that is current and useful.

Here's how it works

  1. When you make your purchases at R.E.A.D. On, your purchase will be recorded in a special "Pastor's Book Allowance" database which is maintained on a quarterly or 3-month basis. Purchases can include your personal study and reference books or Sunday School materials for your church Sunday School.
  2. For example, you purchase $150 worth of Sunday School Curriculum in August, $25 worth of books in September, and another $25 in October. In our database, your total purchase for the three months would be $200.
  3. Now here's the exciting part. Every three months, starting on May 1, you will be issued a discount certificate worth 20% of your purchases for that quarter. The discount certificate will be valid for three months and will have no cash value. In our example, you would be issued a $40.00 discount certificate on August 1. You can then get $40 off your next purchase before the expiry date on November 30!

We Can Come

To Your Conference

Our Intentions

In the years our Bookstore has been in operation, first as a resource centre to the Baptist Convention of Ontario and Quebec, and then to numerous other churches and church groups, we have seen the value of having a viable book display at Conferences and Conventions. We want to provide individual Christians and churches with materials that are

  • Relevant to the Conference - including books by the speaker, or materials to be received by conferencees;
  • Useful to Christian growth and ministry;
  • Convenient for people at the Conference to access;
  • Excellently priced (including special Conference sales); and
  • Easily ordered, should the materials not be with us at the Conference.



Our Experience

We have been to numerous Conventions and Conferences in Ontario and Quebec,
providing qualtiy materials for conferences such as

  • The Annual Convention of the BCOQ in various locations in Ontario and Quebec, ranging from Toronto to Montreal (with more than 1,000 in attendance);


  • Women's Assembilies that meet bi-annually, with more than 500 in attendance;
  • Missions Groups attracting up to 300 conferencees in places as far away in Ontario as North Bay, St. Thomas, Ottawa, Peterborough, and Niagara Falls;
  • Special interest conferences such as the African American Conference, the Sri-Lankan Fellowship Family Camp and Conference, Youth Leader's Training Conference, and many more.

Setting Up A Book Fair

The Impact

Have you considered the impact of a book display right in your church or Christian School where current and relevant books, Bibles and bible study materials, teaching aids, videos, audio tapes and much more are offered at excellent book fair prices? In an age of telephone shopping, telephone banking and internet ordering, many want the convenience of a bookstore at their doorsteps, offering books they can leaf through, handle and have on their shelves on the same day.

Our Initiative

In the years we have been serving the Lord through the Bookstore, we've had the privilege of setting up book fairs at locations such as churches, Christian schools, Home Schooling organizations, and seniors' residence complexes. We come by invitation to your location (please see note below on coming to your location), and bring books specific to the needs of your people, along with many other quality books and items.

Your Invitation

Here's how you can invite us to come:

  1. Contact us by mail, telephone, fax, or email and give us some details of your organization, its needs and location;
  2. We'll discuss the feasiblity to coming to your location, and determine some of the materials that you'd like to see at the book fair;
  3. We'll set about deciding on the best time for the Book Fair together, and we'll make it out to your location at the agreed time!
  4. You can then go about advertising our arrival to your people and community and help us logistically by preparing the tables for our book display. It's that simple!

Bulletins for Every Occasion

We can supply you with bulletins covers for every occasion in the church year, including special occasions such as Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, weddings, baptisms, missions day, Christian Education events and more. Prices on the bulletins are excellent, and we provide a volume discount to orders that exceed a total of 500 bulletins. That is, if you order 5 different bulletin designs at 100 bulletins each (making a total of 500 bulletins) in any one order, you get a great volume discount...and the discount gets better if your order exceeds 1,000 bulletins!

Simply email or write us, and we'll get an order form out to you, along with catalogues of bulletin designs you can choose from.

But that's not all! We have a special category called "Sale Bulletins" for which we give heavy discounts. With this option, READ On makes the choice of design in the category of bulletins of your choice. Let's say you tell us that you want 100 sale bulletins for each Sunday of Advent and Christmas, amounting to 4 different bulletin designs for Advent, and one for Christmas, we'll select 5 different beautiful designs appropriate for each Sunday and send them to you, all at a discounted rate.

Communion Ware, Pulpit Bibles, Offering Plates, offering envelopes, certificates...

Apart from bulletins, we can also supply you with communion ware such as cups (glass or plastic disposal), trays, stands, and table cloths, offering plates, pulpit bibles and many other items that you may need in your worship services.

We also supply a large variety of certificates for your church use, including baptismal certificates, dedication, membership, and many more. We provide you with materials for your financial year through offering envelopes, tellers sheets, and official tax receopts. Many churches also keep in contact with their members through remembering them on their birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. We help churches do that effectively by providing box greeting cards at tremendous prices. We even carry computer software to help you maintian an updated church membership list, keep good accounts, match offering envelopes to donor's names and addresses, and much more.

We also carry material that you'll need for both contemporary and traditional worship music. Music books, hymnals, piano copies, CDs, and audio tapes are available from READ On at your order. We've been supplying hymnals and Bibles to church pews for many years. Many contemporary church services also include drama ideas, and we have a great supply of materials for dramas and skits for any age group as well.
