Katherine Gray Fantasy Art Collage
Katherine Gray's Fantasy Art Collages are filled with
intricate detail. Incorporating images from many diverse sources, she integrates
them into complex, thematically unified scenes with her own painting and
elaborate borders. Many of her works are in private and public collections.
A few of Katherine's original collages are available. Her works can also
be purchased as limited edition "Giclée" prints (also known
as "Iris" prints) numbered and signed by the artist. These archival
quality prints are produced individually under the artist's supervision
on heavy "Museum Parchment".
Selected "Giclée" prints as well as "Archival"
prints on 13" x 19" watercolor paper are are available at The
Red Door Bed and Breakfast at special discounted prices. To see pictures

Gino Bielanski "Fantasie" Prints
For the Montréal World Exposition in 1967, artist Gino
Bielanski and composer Paul Pedersen collaborated on a multi-media presentation
for the Youth Pavilion. Bielanski hand painted a series of 33 images on
2" x 2" glass slides which were projected on three 20 foot screens
in
synchronization with electronic music. After "Expo 67", the slides
were given to the composer and the work, titled Fantasie, has been presented
numerous times in concert. A few years ago, a CD-ROM of the work, presenting
both slides and music, was prepared by the composer. The slides have been
scanned and prints of all 33 Fantasie images are now available as "Archival"
prints on 13" x 19" watercolor paper. The CD-ROM is available
from The Red Door B&B for $25 (Canadian).
Photographs by Paul Pedersen
"Archival" prints of a variety
of photographs, printed on 13" x 19" heavy, archival quality watercolor
paper, are available at the Red Door Bed & Breakfast. The most prominent
subjects are landscapes, wild flowers, birds and animals. If you are interested
in any particular subject matter, please email
Paul Pedersen. He will be happy to consult his files to see if he has
any suitable photographs.
Engravings by Gustave Doré (1832 - 1883)
Gustave Doré was a French illustrator, engraver,
painter and sculptor. He is most famous for illustrations he made for the
Bible, Paradise Lost, the Divine Comedy, Don Quixote, and numerous other
classics. In the 19th century, large, multi-volume "Doré"
Bibles were published with as many as 240 different illustrations. A large,
leather-bound family Bible has been in our family since the 19th century.
It contains 26 plates headed
DORÉ GALLERY OF SCRIPTURE ILLUSTRATIONS.
The plates in this old Bible are becoming discoloured and are crumbling
with age. To preserve these prints, they have been scanned, digitally restored,
and are individually printed on 13" x 19" heavy, archival quality
watercolour paper.
Photo-Paintings by Paul Pedersen
These photographs were taken on the old 110 film format.
Since the negatives are so small, normal enlargements are limited to about
5" x 7". The photos have been processed with filters to give them
the appearance of paintings when viewed in a large size. They are printed
on 13" x 19" heavy, archival quality watercolour paper.
