Welcome to my new page.  I've completely re-done my listings (which is still very much a work in progress).   These pages contain everything I currently have on DVD. I've got lots of tapes (400-600) yet to be converted to DVD and catalogued. As I get them catalogued and converted from tape to DVD, I'll be adding them to the page.

You may notice that some events previously on my page (primarily from 2000-2001 & 2001-2002 seasons) are not here right now. That's because they're ones that are still on tape and although catalogued on tape, they haven't been converted to DVD yet. They will be converted and once done, will be put up on the page.

DVD Listings Notes:

The links to the left will bring up the listings. Most listings also contain a link to a detailed description of the DVD. These descriptions include a listing of the skaters and music or notes about costumes if I don't know the music. They also contain the quality of the coverage on the DVD and if it's a DVD original from the broadcast or made from a tape. Unless noted otherwise, all DVDs are edited to remove the commercials.

If the DVD ID has an 'ND' at the end (DVD ID :  2007-2008  088    ND), the DVD will not be chapterized, titled or printed the same way that my DVDs usually are. Depending on my time, I might re-dub the DVD and chapterize, title & print it before making a copy of it. Please let me know if you want a chapterized, titled & printed version of one of these DVDs. It will probably take me longer to make it for you and the costs will be higher.

DVD speed & quality notes:

DVDs will hold up to 6 hours but the quality isn't much better than an SLP tape. My policy is to normally put a max of approx 1-1/2 to 2 hours on a DVD. On the detailed listings I show the 'bit rate or bps' on the DVD.
9.2bps (or XP) is the highest quality and a DVD will hold 1 hour at this rate.
6.4bps is about 1/2 way between SP and XP and a DVD will hold approx 1-1/2 hours at this rate
4.6bps is approx SP and a DVD will hold approx 2 hours at this rate

I also rate the DVD according to the quality of the coverage.
Excellent - usually only for DVDs made from original coverage with no flaws at all
Very Good - very minor flaws and/or DVDs made from SP original tapes
Good - some flaws and/or DVDs made from SLP or 2nd generation tapes
Fair - watchable - usually only for very old coverage converted from tape
Poor - not really even watchable but the only coverage I have of the event

NOTE: for old/rare coverage, my standards for quality are a little lower.
Coverage that would be classed as only 'fair' if a recent event would be 'good' for older coverage.
The detailed tape listings will usually have notes about specific defects/problems in coverage.

Trading Guidelines

I will both trade DVDs and make them for costs if you don't have anything to trade.

Generally, I only make DVDs that are exact copies of the DVDs shown on my web-page. Currently I do not make compliations. I will not 'squeeze' 2 or more shorter DVDs onto a single DVD for you unless the combined time is less than 1 hour. It just takes too much time to convert and re-chapterize them.

I'm quite picky about DVD/tape quality except for rare or old tapes. If you're trading with me I would like to know what rate the original coverage was made at. If you make your original DVD recording at 2.2bps (SLP) and then create a DVD in XP or SP from it, the quality will still only be at SLP (you cannot increase the quality by copying a low quality DVD to a higher quality). If you're trading a tape or a DVD where the original coverage was tape and you converted it to DVD, I would like to know what generation the tape was and if it was SP or SLP.

I make all of my DVDs (except the 'ND' ones noted above) on ink-jet printable DVDs printed with the event information and all skaters shown. I do not stick labels to my DVDs. I no longer make tapes.

If you are making a DVD for me, please DO NOT put a label on it or print on it. I prefer to label it myself. Please just put a 'post-it' note or a piece of paper with it stating what is on the DVD.
