On October 31, 1999, the racing community and Canada lost one of its favourite sons. Greg Moore was killed in the 1999 season-ending CART race when he lost control of his car at 220 mph and crashed into a wall, spinning wildly and slamming into the ground several times.
Having followed Gregīs career from his early days of professional racing, I am still in shock and mourning his death. This loss serves to remind us that even the best drivers in the world can have fatal accidents.
