Hey again.

A week has gone by, without a whole lot more to report, except that our tracking is going well; (I've been singing myself hoarse) and that our engineer Simon Vanderzand has met our expectations and far surpassed them. We are eagerly awaiting the completion of the CD, which we still insist will happen sometime in the next couple of months.
This coming weekend we will be hitting the road again, travelling to Albany NY for what we've heard is a rockin' festival. Anyone in the area, come on by and say hello. We'll likely be playing some of our new material..... (hint hint).
Anyways, we DO plan on having a huge cd release show once the album has been printed; we'll let you all know when the details solidify a bit.
Till next time,

Keep on kiltin'

-Brian.

Hey all!
We've just finished up our third day in Simple Simon's Vanderland, (our affectionate pet-name for the studio) and we couldn't be more happy with our results thus far. All the drums and bass are done now; James and Mark pulled off some unbelievable stunts these last couple of days. (And yes, there IS a drum solo, Niall.) The sound of the band has evolved somewhat, as our long-time fans already know, so expect a bit of a new spin on our trademark brand of celtic rock. The new album features 12 new tunes, some of which will be familiar to you, some of which have never been performed. So far, we're actually ahead of schedule so we think our promise of a fall release is looking realistic.
Also, a thousand thanks to Steph for posting some GREAT new shots she took of the band at the Ottawa Super Ex; check 'em out in the Pictures section.
Anyways, we still have lots of tracks to lay down, so we'll keep ya posted!!!

Hellooooo,

We played at the Ottawa Super Ex on Saturday.

We will begin recording the new album tomorrow morning.

Thanks to Stephanie for taking some amazing shots of us at the Ex. We can't wait to see them on the site so our mommys and daddys can be proud. Also, a big thanks to Niall for keeping the dance floor shakin'...especially after rushing to the show from a previous dancing engagement! The Ex was also the first time that our CD was played as the music for an amusement ride - what better way to soar through the air than to the sounds of "Donald Where's Yer Troosers"?

We will keep you updated on our progress in the studio.

See ya,
Trevor

Howdy Folks,

Just to clarify: This weekend's show at the Ottawa Ex will be on the fair grounds in the "Royal Oak Tent". This is not to be confussed with one of the many fine Royal Oak establishments around Ottawa. The show will be on Saturday the 18th at 6:30. Bring yer kilt, Scotty dog, dancing shoes, and dancing booties for your Scotty dog.

We are currently in the process of polishing our newest material for the next album. As mentioned, the recording process will begin on Monday the 20th and last for about two weeks. Expect to hear the debut of our newest songs at upcoming shows.

We are also in the process of expanding our "fans" section of the photo gallery. Any pics of rowdy "Haggis Heads" from shows would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Trevor

Greetings All,

We are very excited about our trip to Ottawa to play at the Ex. This will be on the 18th at the Royal Oak.

In recording news, we are currently polishing off our material for the new album, which we are set to start recording on August 20th. Recording will take place at a small studio just outside of Acton, ON. We have recorded a few tunes already, and have found that yes, it was worth the drive to Acton.

Keep your eyes on the tour schedule as a bunch of new dates will be coming in shortly.

Cheers,
Trevor.

Hello All,

We just got back from our second tour of western Canada this summer. We had an amazing trip: played some great venues and recruited a lot of new Haggis Heads.

Highlights:
1.) the van didn't break down
2.) i discovered the Subway "garden patty"
3.) we found out how big Canada really is
4.) the temperature stayed below 25 degrees
5.) i finished half of my book
6.) i got to write this nifty list

Lowlights:
1.) the van...
2.) i discovered the Subway "garden patty"...three times a day
3.) we found out how big Canada really is
4.) the temperature didn't stay below 20 degrees
5.) i only finished half of my book
6.) i re-read this list when i wasn't tired

We are now gearing up for our next tour of the studio starting at the end of the month. Yes...the album is still scheduled for release in the fall.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us in the West...your highland dancers really know how to party!

Cheers,
Trevor
