Reba the Puli had her first litter of six healthy puppies and Bob and Pat invited us to come over to see them. Bob and Pat are President and Wagonmaster of our Parkland Jays Good Sam Chapter so this does have something to do with camping. Sorry folks, the puppies all have homes now.

Cold wet weather kept most of the activities indoors this year. The highway clean up scheduled for Saturday had to be canceled due to all the rain.
Indoor games plus a potluck, banquet, and entertainment were enjoyed by all who attended.
Gas cost $1.29 per litre at New Norway. President Bob reported that he had filled his diesel truck for 80 cents per liter at the Flying J near Sherwood Park.
Our Parkland Jays RV club had pre booked space for 23 rigs and the campground was full for the week end. Everyone had a good time.
This campground was reviewed in past years. Power and water cost $20.00 per night.
The campground owner was away at a tractor pull in Westlock where he was ran over by his own rig but survived without any broken bones then drove himself home. We wish him a speedy recovery.
Our Parkland Jays had booked a number of sites for the Canada Day long week end.Sites with power, water and sewer cost $72.00 for three nights with the Good Sam discount.
We enjoyed our usual great potluck supper Saturday as well as the bike trails and visits to the Reynolds museum with its tent display of rare vehicles and rides in antique cars.

This trip was just the two of us during a spell of hot weather. Our power only site cost $92.00 for four days with a seniors discount.
The campground was very crowded and some things are getting a bit run down.
Our trailer water pump started acting up. A replacement cost $130.00 at Gil's RV in Edmonton
Another Parkland Jays campout. The management had put up a large tent so we could have our potluck supper in the rain.
Blueberry hill is a nice Good Sam park that has been visited other years and they have their own web site. Wifi is available.
Yee Haw! We had to dress Western for this one. Kudos to the Peace Hills for organizing this one, keeping costs down, and doing an incredible steak barbecue with no kitchen facilities. Six rigs from the Parkland Jays attended.

Our Wagonmaster Pat wanted to check this one out as a possible destination. PWS cost $30.00 pre night in a quiet rural setting with a lot of seasonal sites.
Our three sites sloped towards the back and would probably be difficult for larger rigs.
Renovations are finally done here and the two of us had to check things out. Our power only site was about 27 feet long and cost $23.00 per night with the $2.00 seniors discount. Firewood is sold at $6.00 per bundle.
There are a lot of new unserviced sites in the west end of the campground and most of those are large and well separated.
Our Labour Day week end Parkland Jays campout included ten rigs from out chapter plus two from the newly formed Whitecourt chapter.
Just us in the now mostly empty main campground.
That just about sums up 2007. Box score one new trailer awning $1000.00, one new refrigerator $1000.00, one water pump and one Ford Starter but still a lot of good times.
