The Community
Policing Centre exists to help communicate the policing needs and
safety concerns of the residents of Stouffville to York Regional Police,
both to develop and to implement programs that meet community requests.

York Regional Police have assigned a member of the Police Force to
serve as a liaison person with the volunteers to ensure that the needs
of the community are achieved.
Officers assigned to patrol areas of Whitchurch-Stouffville have 24
hour access to the Centre. The Policing Centre has been a valuable
local tool to the officers who perform such duties as interviewing
and report taking, as well as supplementing the volunteers on duty.
A Board of Directors who has approved a Mission Statement oversees
the Centre. The Board is a non-profit organization with its own by-laws
for the local citizens and businesses.
Our mission statement: "To strengthen the standards of
the safety, well being and quality of life in the community of Whitchurch-Stouffville." |
