INTRODUCTION

It's a win/lose relationship. You've found that special, loving someone you want to be with for the rest of your life. But there's something that comes between you -- sports. He loves his TV sports and you hate that couch potato aspect of his life.

TV sports has been a source of problems in romantic relationships for decades. But now, in a faster-paced world where people meet and relationships blossom in places like cyberspace chat sites, there's a need for a greater understanding of the attraction of TV sports.

It happens a lot these days. You've made an on-line date to talk to the person you really wanted to be with. But you've been stood up (electronically). Later you find you it happened because the game he was watching went into overtime. You don't know whether to laugh or cry. Fortunately, Gandie is here to explain the mysteries of why some people allow TV sports to run their lives and how you can adjust your own schedule to suit his team's schedule.

Gandie offers two fundamental rules for lovers of sports addicts. Rule #1: Don't try to change him. Forced to make a choice between you and his team and the big game, he might, in the long run, choose the later, making you the loser. Rule #2. Never pretend to be interested in the game when you're not. He'll see through that right away. Just find something else to do 'til the game's over. If you are living together, one essential way to avoid conflicts is to have a second TV set.
