THE SLICKEST GRASSROOTS EVENT IN THE WORLD!
The count down is on! 4 days left until race morning. Last minute preparation are ongoing. Both teams are ready to battle. There are a couple of changes for this year's race. The more experienced race directors guarantee a most gratifying running experience for all. The number of entrants this year is down dramatically so we are keeping the entry open up to race date as our plans have us for at least 150. The first time creek crossing has all but fizzled out due to the drought of late. We still will be crossing the creek bed in both directions instead of crossing the slick metal bridge at kilometer 2.5 & 5.5 You still might want to bring an extra pair of socks when you come back across the finish area at kilometer 8. FYI, Upon registering on Race morning, you will be getting two tatoos that you will be assisted in putting on before race start. The process will take about two minutes. Before the race start, the tradational team pictures will take place at the start line, please be near the start 10 minutes prior to 8:00am.
Just a reminder, THE REVENGE of the BACK of THE PACKERS begins at 7:00 am. Try it out!!! See how far you can get ahead of the lead runners before they catch you. You will inherit a real different perspective on the lead runners as they believe it or not also tire near the end of the run. If all works out, you will likely be coming back to the school just as the 8:00am start takes place, this way you will have many fans cheering you on. We also want the course clear by 12:00 sharp. Last year there were 12 early starters. We still had about 35 runners came in after 4 hours. Let Scott or I know your intentions as early as possible.
