ASICS® GEL® Cushioning System

The introduction of the ASICS® GEL® Cushioning System revolutionized ASICS® footwear line and is available in many of the ASICS® shoes.

AHAR® Heel Plug

ASICS introduced AHAR® (ASICS® High Abrasion Resistant) rubber into its line in 1991.
This breakthrough ASICS® technology is a tough compound which is used on the outsole in areas of heavy contact, to cut down an excessive wear.

DuoSole®

This proprietary ASICS® outsole material provides light weight, flexibility, traction and durability.

WET GRIP®

The introduction of WET GRIP® in critical areas on the outsole gives voleyball and basketball players excellent traction on wet or slippery surfaces.

RhynoSkin®

RhynoSkin® lives up to its name of being durable by helping prevent wear caused by excessive toe drag.

Trusstic System®

Runners' demands for an ultra-lightweight shoe with stability led to the development and introduction of the Trusstic System® in 1993.
This unique system significally reduces the overall weight of the shoe while maintaining its structural integrity.

ASICS® GEL® Comfort Cushioning System (CSS)

As evidence of commitment to on-going research, ASICS is proud to introduce the GEL® Comfort Cushioning System (CSS) in a number of its cross-training shoes for Fall 1999. This system provides out-of-the-box comfort with enhanced shock absorption.

The ASICS® GEL® Cushioning System has the ability to absorb shock by dissipating vertical impact and dispersing it into a horizontal plane. Rearfoot and forefoot ASICS® GEL® Cushioning Systems are placed at points of maximum impact to provide optimum shock absorption without sacrificing the stability of the shoe.

Today a wide variety of GEL® Cushioning Systems are utilized in a range of shapes and sizes throughout ASICS® line.
