William W. Howell was trained as a teacher in his native England. He was a farmer and a teacher but his true vocation was journalism. He began writing as a schoolboy around 1885 and continued to write on a wide variety of subjects for over 70 years. Writing as "Minnitaki", "Irish Cobbler", "W.W. Howell" and anonymously his writing style, opinions and subjects evolved tremendously over the years. His articles were all hand-written. We can only guess what a typewriter or a word processor would have meant to this man who enjoyed the written word so much. Welcome to his web site! | |
