Scratch came together in the summer of 98 as an extension
of two other bands, West of Rome and Binkley Jason recruited
John Callaghan from West of Rome to explore a poppier punkier
side of their musical interests and to create an environment
of aggressive enjoyment.
From there Jason called on Shane Morriss who filled in
respectably until his chess career came a calling. Not to fear,a friend in the name of James Scott has completed the rhythm section rather tastefully.James,while new to the Scratch atmosphere has the attitude and presence to fill any void
that needs taken care of.
Collectively they used there differant musical talents and
tastes to form a musical experience which has been deemed energetic and intense.Drawing upon their collective history and experience Scratch has continued to forge on and ahead and will still aim to attain their focused goal of creating music fulfilling not only to themselves but their base of friends and fans....
