URGENT

LTTE FRONTS IN CANADA

The Government of Canada has designated Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) as a terrorist group. Yet our goal of stopping funds going to the LTTE has still to be achieved

LTTE front organizations such as World Tamil Movement (WTM), Federation of Association of Canadian Tamils (FACT) etc are very active in fund raising under the pretext of organizing cultural, religious and social events for their community. On November 27, 2001 WTM organized the Heroes day as a Tamil Cultural Show to celebrate their suicide bombers and the birthday of Prabakaran at a very prestigious location i.e the National Trade Centre-Toronto. This was cancelled due to our efforts. It is believed that at such an event WTM collects nearly one million dollars

The government Security Agencies have identified WTM and FACT as fronts of LTTE.

We are doing major lobbying campaign to get these front organizations banned. It is a Herculean task. Please give widest possible publicity in websites, Associations and among friends of Sri Lanka in your country and get the annexed letter sent to the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Canada with a copy to the Leader of the Official Opposition by fax or email.
