Subject:                          Appeal

Let us spare more than a thought for them.

All those Sri Lankans who were held hostage by the ruthless LTTE terrorists and rescued by the  valiant Sri Lankan  Security Forces must be given a new lease of life. They must be cared for because they are our brothers and sisters. They are our sons and daughters. They are innocent  Sri Lankans.

They need our help. They suffered immensely all these years,  under the Tamil Tigers.  Let us say to them “No more terror. No more tears”

Sons and Daughters of Mother Lanka, Friends of Sri Lanka, contribute your might; spare more than a thought for them.

Please send in your contributions. Cheques only. Written in favour of the Consulate General of Sri Lanka. Please indicate in the memo section as ‘Relief’ We will then send your contributions, to the Commissioner General of Essential Services through the Presidential Secretariat, to buy essential items such as food and medicine.

We also need  tents, water purifiers and bowsers urgently.

No More Terror! No More Tears! Let us help

Thank you

We in SLUNA fully endorse the appeal and request all of our members and well wishers to contribute generously, to assist our long suffering brothers and sisters in the Tamil community who were held hostage to form a human shield for the cowardly terrorists, who sought to barter their lives in exchange for a new lease of life to recommence their push for a separate state to be carved out of Sri Lankan territory through violence and terrorism with the help of the pro-LTTE diaspora that has been funding and promoting their cause.
