Protest against LTTE hate-crime in Canada

(LeN-June 6, 7.00am) On 11th June 2006, at about 10:00
PM, Venerable Kadawatha Upananda, Chief Incumbent
Priest of Lankaramaya Buddhist Temple, Parc-Extension,
Montreal, in Canada was brutally assaulted by a LTTE
group.

The detail of this brutal assault was telecasted on
CTV News bulletin on 12th evening. Now legal actions
have been taken against those responsible for the
attack.

Specially to condemn this brutal attack against a
religious leader, and also to condemn the ongoing
numerous killings of innocent people done by LTTE
across Sri Lanka and elsewhere in the world,
Lankaramaya Buddhist Congregation in Canada have
organized a protest on Monday, July 10th 2006 at 11:30
AM. The protest will take place in front of the
Parliament Building in Ottawa.
