JRHS Golf Tournament

Fellow Golfers:

!! SEE UPDATE BELOW !!

We have decided to go ahead with a Golf Event on Friday, October
13 for those who can make it. There seem to be about 20 golfers
interested so Ihave booked 6 starting times at Golf Dorval starting at
10 am on the Friday.

Please confirm by return email if you will play.

I would also appreciate your confirming whether you will need to rent
clubs (left or right) and whether you would like a motorized cart.

Details:
Golf Dorval is north on Sources Blvd from Highway 20, about half
way to Highway 40. You turn right at the sign at a road which is an
extension of St Louis avenue. There are 36 holes and the course is
run by the City of Dorval. They have rather rigid dress code regulations
including the absolute requirement to wear a shirt with a collar
(although turtle necks are accepted in cold weather), no jeans, no jogging suits, and bermuda shorts which must reach your knees (in case of warm weather).

The price will be $30 per person for green fees, $16 to rent
clubs, $30 to rent a motorized cart (split 2 ways), and about $5 to rent a
pullcart. There is no need to prepay but I must confirm the numbers
on October 6.

Some of you indicated that you could provide a small gift (s) as
a prize. Please confirm if you are still able to do so.

With the small numbers it may be difficult to make this a
'tournament' but I think we can still have some fun bashing that little white ball around the course and preparing ourselves for the evening sock hop.

Looking forward to seeing you at the first tee. Please let me know if you
require more info, email me at

Al Blair or call (514 -695 -8878)

UPDATE!! OCTOBER 9TH

Hello Rennie Golfers:

Friday the 13th is less than a week away and so is our golf event! We are 24 golfers and I have listed everyone below so that you can let me know by return Email if there is someone you would really enjoy playing with. I am assuming that wives and husbands would prefer to play in the
same foursome. If I do not hear from you I will arrange foursomes based on my memory (which is going fast) of who knows whom. Our objective will be to have fun and renew old acquaintances rather than to run a tournament or 'scramble'.

There will be several great door prizes which we will draw for following the golf. One of the prizes is one night's accommodation at a fantastic seaside B&B on Vancouver Island. We will meet in the bar area at about 3:30 or 4:00 to tell lies and draw for the prizes.

Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the first starting time of 10 am as we will all be making our individual arrangements with the pro shop. And please do not forget the rigid dress code mentioned in the last note.....collars are mandatory, jeans are forbidden, etc..Golf Dorval has often turned players away for not meeting their dress code.
